Before I started growing my photography business I learned how to use my camera as my church’s lead photographer. It was my favorite way to serve on Sunday morning’s and brought so much joy to me. As I grew, any events or outreach my church would host I would be there capturing every moment.
I am close friends with our worship pastor who’s parents are senior pastor’s of multiple churches in our area. When she came to me and asked me to cover a women’s conference her mom was hosting I was more than excited. Being able to worship with my camera with other women of God made me overjoyed.
The conference started on a Friday night and carried over three services til Saturday night. Right after work on Friday I rushed to get cleaned up, dressed, and I gathered my gear ready to drive to the church about an hour and a half away. I arrived a few minutes after worship had started but I jumped right in and started covering the event. I saw some of my close friends worshipping Jesus and I couldn’t help but save memories of them loving Jesus.
Not only did I love worshipping with my camera, this conference was a refreshing and well-needed away time with my God.
Never forget to spend time with God. Never forget to talk to Him even if it is just for a few minutes on your way to work. God works in mysterious ways and can change everything in your life within seconds. He is my storyteller, my comforter, my king, and my best friend.
